We love the mountains, nature, history, some castles, museums. The latter for a rainy day, but if it's great weather, more than likely we would prefer to be outdoors. WebWe spent 3 nights in Salzburg. One day to explore the fortress and the old city, plus Mirabell gardens. We chose to go to Berchtesgaden for Konigsee boat trip and Mt Jenner another day. 3rd day we went to Untersberg. Lots more we could have done, next time I'd include Werfen (fortress/ ice caves) and perhaps Hallstatt.
